Introduction

Managing your email accounts is a crucial aspect of maintaining your online presence. DirectAdmin offers a range of features to help you manage your email accounts effectively. This guide will walk you through the process of creating, modifying, and deleting email accounts, among other functionalities.

Creating Email Accounts

  1. Log in to DirectAdmin: Access your DirectAdmin control panel.
  2. Navigate to E-Mail Manager: Click on the "E-Mail Manager" icon, followed by the "E-Mail Accounts" link.
  3. Create Account: Click on "Create Account" to set up a new email account.
  4. Enter Details: Provide a username and password, then click "Create."

Note: You cannot create an email account if the username is already taken by an autoresponder, forwarder, or mailing list.

Changing Email Account Passwords

  1. Access E-Mail Accounts: Navigate to the "E-Mail Accounts" menu.
  2. Modify Account: Click the "+" symbol next to the email address you wish to modify.
  3. Enter New Password: Provide the new password and click "Modify."

Deleting Email Accounts

  1. Access E-Mail Accounts: Navigate to the "E-Mail Accounts" menu.
  2. Select Account: Check the box next to the email account(s) you wish to delete.
  3. Delete: Click the "Delete" button to remove the selected account(s).

Setting Up Email Forwarders

  1. Access E-Mail Manager: Navigate to the "E-Mail Manager" section.
  2. Create Forwarder: Click on "Forwarders," then click "Create E-mail Forwarder."
  3. Enter Details: Provide the forwarder name and destination address, then click "Create."

Using Autoresponders

  1. Access E-Mail Manager: Navigate to the "E-Mail Manager" section.
  2. Create Autoresponder: Click on "Autoresponders," then click "Create Autoresponder."
  3. Enter Details: Provide the autoresponder name and message, then click "Create."

Note: Autoresponders reply to all incoming messages with a standard outgoing message.

Setting Vacation Messages

  1. Access E-Mail Manager: Navigate to the "E-Mail Manager" section.
  2. Set Vacation Message: Click on "Vacation Messages," then click "Set Vacation Message."
  3. Enter Details: Select the account, set the time frame, and enter your vacation message. Click "Create."

Accessing Webmail: Roundcube

  1. Navigate to Webmail: Click on "Extra Features" in the main control panel menu, then click "Webmail: Roundcube."
  2. Log In: Enter your full email address and password, then click "Login."

Note: To log in with your default email address, use only the control panel username without the domain.
